We do not alter dark-colored gowns. (This has nothing to do with personal preference, I promise!)
It’s because black or navy threads get everywhere.
We have to change the thread colors, clean our machines of white fibers, alter the dark dress in isolation, and then deeply clean our machines, or else the next light-colored gowns will get the dark threads and fibers in their seams and fabric.
It costs us at least $300 in lost work and extra labor each time we change the colors over, so we can no longer do this service affordably for you.
